Joey Bay, Founder of “The Jewelz” and “J Dance Atelier”, born and base in Singapore, has 18 years of belly dance teaching experience. In 2009, She acquires “The Egyptian Intensive Teachers Course” Certification in Cairo. The masters teachers whom she had studied from are Mahmoud Reda, Dr. Mo Geddawi, Raqia Hassan, Momo Kadous, Hossam Ramzy, Magdy-El Leisy, Youssry Sherif, Khaled Mahmoud, Mohamed Kazafy, Asmahan, Fatema Serin, Mona Said, Dina, Randa Kamel, Sorraya, Aziza, Mercedes Nieto, Nagi Karim etc.

In the past 18 years, Joey has won multiple awards in many Belly dance Competitions in Singapore and Asia. She has also been invited to be the Adjudicator in Malaysia Open Dance Fest Competitions in 2011 and 2012, She is also one of the competition judges in World Belly Dance Festival in 2014,Singapore and also Oriental Xpression in 2015, Malaysia. Joey’s Dance Troupe, The Jewelz has also won her many awards such as Champion in WBDF in 2014 and Champion in Oriental Xpression in 2015.

Her dance choreography is graceful and elegant classical Egyptian styles, which is the essence of Egyptian Oriental Dance. Her signature styles, such as strong hip accent and precise body movements are derived from her passion, her joy of belly dancing, and her musical interpretations.

Joey strongly believes that the art of belly dancing offers a total experience of joy, freedom and well-being for every woman, regardless of their age, body shapes or sizing, and most importantly it is a celebration of femininity and inner spirit through the dance movements.
